The death of the famous Nigerian philanthropist and businessman Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, also known as Aminu Dantata, was announced on Sunday by former president Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria on his X account.
According to earlier reports in FGNEWSBLOG, Buhari passed away while undergoing treatment for an unidentified ailment at a clinic in London.
Dantata passed away at the age of 94 on June 28, 2025, and Buhari expressed his grief via his X account.
"Leaves behind a monumental legacy in philanthropy and entrepreneurship that reshaped the lives of people and business settings in the country and beyond," Buhari remarked of Dantata.
Recall that Dantata supposedly passed away in a hospital in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, at around 3 am Nigerian time on Saturday, June 28th, this year, following a brief illness.
Meanwhile, Buhari's funeral will take place on Monday in Daura, Katsina State, his birthplace.
