Jux discusses Priscilla Ojo's decision to convert to Islam, saying, "Convincing her was a bit difficult"

Juma Jux, a musician from Tanzania and Nigeria, has opened up about the difficult process he went through to help his wife, Priscilla Ojo, convert to Islam in the days leading up to their wedding.

Juma Jux recently discussed the difficulties of helping Priscilla, daughter of Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo, undergo a major religious conversion in an interview with Afrikmedia.

Juma Jux said that the Islamic scholars and mentors who were patient and supportive were the key to his success in mentoring Priscilla.

He was told to have intelligent conversations with Priscilla about Islam instead of forcing her to convert, which he did, stressing the significance of being compassionate.

The singer went on to say that she had to work at getting Priscilla to embrace and grasp the faith.

"When it came to my wedding, I knew everything," he declared. I felt quite fortunate to have found someone who shared my dreams and desires.

"I was learning from religious leaders and others who are enthusiastic about Islam, but it was a little bit tough to convince her. Consequently, they informed me that I may persuade my wife to become a member of the faith.

"They told me to take it easy, teach her things, and explain things to her; it took some time, but she eventually got it."

In a stunning white wedding ceremony that took place in Lagos on April 19, 2025, Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo were married.
