President Bola Tinubu has called an emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in the wake of the death of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Tinubu, Buhari would be the only focus of Tuesday's meeting.
In a statement that he signed personally, the president issued a summons.
On Sunday, while undergoing treatment for an unidentified ailment at a facility in London, Buhari passed suddenly.
As part of the emergency FEC meeting, Tinubu announced that Buhari will get full state honours.
I have also called an emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council for Tuesday, to be held in his honour," he said.
"Full state honours befitting President Buhari's towering contributions to our country will be accorded by the Federal Government."
During his life, Tinubu hoped that God would pardon Buhari for all of his transgressions.
