Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has stated that he is unafraid of any forces in the state in the lead-up to the 2027 general election.
This was said by the governor on Wednesday during his appearance on Politics Today on Channels TV.
In light of the impasse within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), there has been talk that he may defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Based on their work in Zamfara, Lawal believes there is no need to be afraid of anybody since they are offering the positive aspects of democracy.
To be honest, all these forces were there when I ran for office in 2023, he claimed.
When I ran for governor of Zamfara State in 2023, I defeated all of the APC candidates, including Sani Yerima, Mahmud Shinkafi, Abdul'aziz Abubakar Yari, and his deputy, as well as Governor Bello Matawalle and his deputy, as well as every senator and member of the National Assembly.
Therefore, what impact will it have? As far as it is concerned, there isn't really anything new. So, politics is... We are aware of the current trend and are present on the ground.
Nobody frightens me. God has placed me in this position, and I don't see any need to be afraid of anyone because of our work, which is to provide the positive aspects of democracy.
I am frightened of no one but God.
I don't believe I'll have any doubts or fears about these folks in 2027; what happened between 2023 and 2027, then? Regarding that, you have nothing to worry about.
First of all, I am not a desperate politician; second, I consider myself a man of principles; and third, I am committed to my work.
I do not believe there is any need to be afraid of any forces in Zamfara State at this time, based on our actions.
