Real Madrid is prepared to obstruct Ancelotti's nomination as Brazil head coach, according to LaLiga

Real Madrid is prepared to thwart Carlo Ancelotti's appointment as head coach of the Brazilian national team.

Arsenal's elimination from the Champions League has cast doubt on Ancelotti's future with the LaLiga champions.

Barcelona also defeated Real Madrid in last weekend's Copa del Rey final. Along with the Catalans, they are last in the league.

Ancelotti reportedly accepted to lead the Selecao in the run-up to the 2026 World Cup last week.

"Real Madrid are currently blocking Carlo Ancelotti's move to the Brazilian national team," claimed football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday's X.

Two days have passed since the verbal agreement was made. Even though Real were not notified directly, Brazil was expecting Carlo to sign.

According to Real, they have no intention of paying Ancelotti's leaving money.
