Premier League: Maresca's starting goalkeeper named for Brentford match

Robert Sanchez will remain Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca's first choice goalkeeper, surpassing Filip Jorgensen.

Since joining Chelsea, Maresca has favored Sanchez over Djordje Petrovic, even though Petrovic replaced Sanchez as the starting quarterback last season.

It wasn't long before Petrovic went on loan to Strasbourg in the summer transfer window.

Jorgensen, who joined the team in the summer, consistently plays in the Conference League and made his league debut against Southampton, giving Sanchez a run for his money.

Sanchez has been criticised for some high-profile mistakes this season, despite making crucial saves for Chelsea.

Maresca made his position clear on the continuing controversy over his goalie pick when he spoke before Sunday's match between Chelsea and Brentford.

By saying, "The idea is not to change," Maresca dashed Jorgensen's dreams of starting. Here, though, we have two solid goalkeepers.

We are content with that as long as they stay at the same level.
