For the first time in rock history, Cold Play's tour has grossed more over $1 billion

The first rock concert tour to earn more than $1 billion was the lengthy "Music of the Spheres Tour" by the British band Coldplay.

The five-year farewell tour by Sir Elton John was the highest-grossing rock tour of all time, but this tour broke that record.

Billboard reports that this tour has officially broken the $1 billion mark, making it the first music tour to do so.

According to the FGNEWSB:OG, American singer Taylor Swift's 'Eras' tour broke records last year, earning more than $1 billion.

Of all concerts to formally announce a global total of more than $1 billion, Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres Tour" stands alone.

At the tour dates in Ireland and Italy, respectively, Nigerian singers Burna Boy and Ayra Starr were special guests.
