The 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday was Spurs' fault, according to manager Ange Postecoglou, who said his players could have capitalized on more opportunities.
Goalkeeper Gabriel Magalhaes scored the game-winning header in the second half to settle the first North London Derby of the season.
Despite dominating play for the majority of the match, Spurs were unable to test Arsenal's defense.
Postecolgou stated following the game to BBC Match of the Day: "It seemed like a close game the whole time.
We were able to maintain control and get off to a strong start.
We failed to take advantage of the chances presented to us and fell short of our goals.
"We failed to maintain our focus on the goal.
We momentarily lost focus, but we have some large players on our team that really go after the ball.
I believe I've made my point.
We had a lot of possession and controlled the game's territory for the most part today, but we failed to capitalize and ended up losing.
