Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has proposed relocating all Gazan Palestinians to a camp on the rubble of the city of Rafah, a proposal that American musician Billie Eilish has vigorously opposed.
On Monday, Katz informed the press that he had ordered the military to move on with plans to build a "humanitarian city" that would have 600,000 Palestinians living in it at first, and then all 2.1 million.
In response, Eilish slammed the Israeli minister's proposal. She captioned an Instagram photo of the news story with the word "Horrifying."
The Grammy-winning musician demanded further aid for the Gaza Strip.
"Clean water is essential for Gaza," she penned.
In the wake of Israel's invasion of Gaza, Billie Eilish has spoken out strongly against the plight of the Palestinian people.
As a show of her solidarity for the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, she wore the red enamel pin at the 2024 Oscars, along with other celebrities.
