I don't see music as a profession; it's my life's work - Burna Boy

Music is not a profession, according to Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian performer.

The 'Odogwu' singer-songwriter said that music is more of a way of life than a career, and that he loves it.

Since music is more of a way of life than a job for the artist, he doesn't feel the need to take a holiday, he stated in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 Xtra.

His employment is great, he declared. My job isn't a job to me. Life, in my view. For what reasons is a break from life necessary?

I'm not exactly a bricklayer or a worker, you know.

There's no getting away from it. The Burna Boy way, though. To put it simply, my job is my way of life.

It's the opposite of what I would want to do right now.

That being the case, why would I seek a break from it? Not until I'm an elderly lady or a parent.

Not even a child on my own radar.

"I'm not taking this vacation for anything."
